Ground Zero: Jouban and Aieti Go the Distance; Rousey and Munoz Thrill the Crowd.

OXNARD, CA:
The awaited debut of the Combat Fight League has officially come and gone. Ground Zero was a huge success and the evenly matched bouts left the crowd thirsting for the next event. The co-main event pitted two female fighters making their amateur debuts. Hayden Munoz and Ronda Rousey entered the ring with the sold out crowd on their feet cheering them on.  Rousey, a bronze medal Olympian in judo, submitted Munoz in the first round with an arm bar. The mutual respect shown by MMA fighters was displayed at its finest by the ladies.

In the other co-main event Mose "Mighty Mo" Aieti and Alan Jouban went the distance in 3 ACTION PACKED rounds with Jouban winning by decision and taking home the "Fight of the Night" honors and the beautiful Polanti time piece officially presented by The Ultimate Fighter Season 11's Joseph Henle and BAMMA USA's Brett Roberts.

Ground Zero results:
* Juan Aguilera def. Juan Estrada
* JJ Mortimer def. Sid Sidberry
* Eugene Marenya def. Marcus Aven
* Frank Estrada def. Peter Mostowa
* John Hernandez def. Jarrod Huggins
* Ronda Rousey def. Hayden Munoz
* Alan Jouban def. Mose Aieti

THE CFL

Combat Fight League (CFL) is a Mixed Martial Art’s organization based out of Oxnard, California. With the growing popularity of MMA, unlicensed or “smoker” events have turned up all over the country. These events are not only illegal but are also dangerous for both serious fighters and fans. Working directly with the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization (CAMO), CFL’s goal is to provide a safe and exciting experience with highly competitive and well matched fights that will feature local, regional and national MMA talent.

Combat Fight League promises to bring an exciting arrangement of bouts, vendors and entertainment. The collaboration of West Coast Jiu Jitsu and Dojo Fightgear will recruit amateurs throughout California and personally select the best of the best. Combat Fight League will invite amateur fighters looking to start or build on their records, provide them much needed cage experience and at the same time they will qualify for a chance to enter the CFL Tournament to capture the respected Championship Belt of their weight division.

We are currently looking for fighters in the following Weight Divisions:

* LIGHTWEIGHT
* MIDDLEWEIGHT
* WELTERWEIGHT
* LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT

and WOMEN FIGHTERS
